Leopard Geckos
For a basic guide to care view the Leopard Gecko Caresheet. For more detailed information select from the drop-down menus below
Leopard geckos (Eublepharis Macularius) are said to be
one of the easiest reptiles to keep. They are native to arid
lands in Pakistan and India, they are nocturnal, and reach
lengths on average between twenty to twenty five centimetres.
They belong to the only gecko family to have fully functional
developed eyelids and do not have expanded toe tips, unlike most
other geckos, preventing them from being able to 'stick' to
surfaces, and therefore cannot climb high.
